TOGETHER WITH KANSAS PLASTIC SURGERY
βKansas Plastic Surgery is providing Wichita and the surrounding areas with creative, compassionate care for every patient.
From cosmetic surgery to medical spa, we deliver personalized treatments for everyone.
Trishaβs 5 star review:
βI can't say enough about how pleased I am with Dr. Schoonover, his team, and my results. He was the third plastic surgeon I consulted for a tummy tuck and I'm so glad I kept looking. From the first visit to my latest checkup, I feel like I am being listened to and viewed as a person, not just another patient. Dr. Schoonover is responsive, thorough, and has an incredibly calm bedside manor that put me at ease. His team has also been incredibly understanding, accommodating, and reassuring throughout my entire journey. I am beyond happy that I chose Kansas Plastic Surgery and will definitely go back for any future needs.β
Zacharyβs 5 star review:
βI have nothing but positive things to say about KPS. Dr. Schoonover is incredible and so are the nurses/entire staff in office. 10/10 would recommend :)β
The traditional K-12 school system has been in a similar format since the early 1900s.
I am a traditional public school kid (#gojags) and I like to think that I turned out alright (excuse my typos throughout my emails), but we can all agree that this system, public or private, isnβt necessarily for everyone.
Every kid is different and learns at their own pace.
Luckily, there are more resources than ever in 2024 and in Wichita to help kids learn at their own pace.

βLearning Lab Wichita is an exciting new initiative that seeks to transform the educational landscape by fostering a community of education entrepreneurs, learners, and families.
This co-learning space is dedicated to reshaping traditional models of education through collaboration, innovation, and personalized learning experiences.
It is located at 703 E Douglas Ave, Suite 250 in the Union Station Building right in the heart of downtown.
Soβ¦what is Learning Lab Wichita?
At its core, Learning Lab Wichita is a collaborative space designed to empower education entrepreneurs (edupreneurs) βthose pioneering new ways to teach and learn. The lab provides resources and infrastructure for educators and education leaders to develop and scale innovative learning models.
Learning Lab Wichita supports a wide range of learning environments aimed at personalized education through various school settings such as:
homeschooling
microschools
non-traditional K-12
By rejecting a one-size-fits-all approach, Learning Lab fosters an environment where students can discover their innate talents and develop pathways that lead them toward fulfilling and meaningful lives. Education entrepreneurs at Learning Lab are given the tools and community support needed to refine their educational models, driving innovation across Wichita and beyond.
Learning Lab envisions becoming a launchpad for education models that prioritize flexibility, community collaboration, and individualized learning, working alongside local and national partners to ensure that these educational solutions can be scaled and shared with others.
Unique Educational Models
In the 2024-2025 school year, Learning Lab Wichita will host four diverse school models in its state-of-the-art facility located at the historic Union Station. These include:
βCreative Minds: A vertical classroom for K-6 learners in the Wichita Public Schools system, where hands-on, exploratory learning takes precedence.
βGuiding Light Academy: A personalized K-8 program that blends individual online learning with collaborative in-person activities.
βKhan Lab School Wichita: A cutting-edge model founded by Sal Khan, expanding to Wichita for the first time, combining both online and in-person learning.
These models represent various approaches to individualized learning, giving families and students the flexibility to choose how and where they learn, while also benefiting from the resources and support available at Learning Lab.
Collaborative Ecosystem
When you visit the Learning Lab Wichita website, you can choose what best describes you:
Learning Lab isnβt just a physical space, in fact, there are no classrooms. There is a 15,601 sq-ft workspace.
It is an ecosystem where education entrepreneurs, industry experts, community leaders, and families work together to elevate the educational experience.
A few things the Lab offers includes:
a makerspace
a podcast studio
a video lab
other cutting-edge resources
to ensure that both educators and learners have access to the tools they need to succeed.
βRegular events and programs also encourage community participation, offering opportunities for learners to connect with others and explore new ideas.
