The Wichita Life Update is, and always will be, free.
I dedicate countless hours each week to bring you the latest news, events, and happenings around town, so you can stay informed in just 5 minutes.
If you've ever enjoyed an event, discovered a hidden gem, or impressed your friends with your Wichita know-how because of the Update, consider supporting our work.
As much as I hate asking this (and limit myself from asking), there are many overhead costs that come with running a website, podcast, email newsletter, event calendar, job board, and more.
You can support us with a monthly, annual, or one-time donation. Help keep your favorite local news source free—every bit helps keep this resource thriving!

I’ve followed him for a while, but followed even more closely when he shared about his home in Andover being damaged by the tornado a couple of years ago.

TOGETHER WITH SHOCKER SPORTS GRILL & LANE
Did you know there is a (not so) super secret bowling alley at Wichita State?
You can now reserve lanes for your friends or family, up to 5 days in advance. Just $40 per lane per hour.
You may have up to 8 people, however we recommend a max of 6 people per lane. Rental shoes are included!
Reservations can be made by phone (316-978-3479) and payment is due at the time of booking. Open to the public (and much cheaper than other options in town)!
94.5% of apartments are occupied and empty ones stay vacant for just 31 days on average.

At the 300 N Main building (The Baltimore / Occidently) there is supposedly a cowboy ghost that plays the banjolele at night and walks the hallways. Apparently back in the day this was a brothel. It may be the oldest building in downtown. Thanks for the insight Monica! Party Guide
