EVENTS
CORONAVIRUS
Mask Mandates
Sedgwick County voted on Wednesday to rescind the mask mandate. Governor Kelly's Executive Order state-wide mandate is still in effect until the end of the month.
What does this mean?
If no additional mandates are put in place by the city, Wichita will effectively have no mandates for mask wearing starting on Thursday. The Wichita City Council is expected to discuss and potentially vote on putting a Wichita specific mandate in place.
Vaccines for everyone
Originally scheduled by May 1st, all Kansans age 16+ are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. You can find your location here and sign up for an appointment. It allows you to search by Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson.
St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway
It is a very special time of year. It is a chance for us to help the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It is also a chance for someone to win the home of their dreams!
This is the 6th Annual Wichita Dream Home Campaign. There will only be 13,000 tickets sold with the winner winning a house worth an estimated $640,000.
What you need to know:
- Tickets go on sale March 31 - this Wednesday (the earlier you enter, the better). Tickets are $100 a piece.
- If you register on the 31st, you are entered to win a $2500 Visa Gift Card.
- If you enter by April 16, you can win a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe.
- If you enter by May 7, you can win a $2500 giftcard at Ultra Modern Pool & patio.
- The grand prize will be drawn on May 26.

EARTHQUAKE
Earthquake Update
From a recent Kansas Geological Survey, expert Rick Miller says he believes the recent earthquakes do not have natural characteristics. This means it could be caused by man. Other experts say it is still too early to make the call on what the actual cause is.
CIVIC
Utility Scam
The winter storm left many with potentially very high utility bills. There is currently a scam going around where a "state official" claims to be able to help offer assistance. It is a scam according to the Kansas Utility Regulation Agency.
BUSINESS
Boutique 5
The Boutique 5 are Wichita's first Black owned stationery shop. They will be opening up in downtown Wichita. This is a really cool story, so make sure you check it out!
