The 45th Annual Fall Prairie Fire Marathon is right around the corner on Sunday, October 13th and here is what YOU need to know:

• Brand new courses for all 3 race distances (Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K)
• Starting and finishing at Riverfront Stadium
• Finish line for all races will finish on the concourse and runners will be on the jumbo tron
• No longer running a double loop marathon course
• Race goes through Downtown, College Hill, Crown Heights, Eastborough, Riverside, Indian Hills
• As always fast, Boston Qualifier, and fun
• partnering with Open Streets ICT (Open streets starts in the afternoon on Douglas)

Dont feel like running that far? Or by yourself?

Join the Mayor's Friendly 5K which is for DUOS (pairs, not individuals) and is untimed.

Get and get moving int he communit! You get all the same amenities and can join the post party in the stadium!

DRONE FESTIVAL 🚁

Drone Light Festival 2024 - Exploration Place from 9/20 to 9/22

This is one of the coolest events in Wichita. I am a 100% red blooded American and LOVE a great fireworks show, but once you see a drone show, it's like watching the future. This has become an even bigger event with Water Lanterns, Food Trucks, and even Laser Taylor Swift.

Some of the pass levels are now sold out, but get your tickets today because you do NOT want to miss the Drone Light Festival 2024 at Exploration Place. Tickets start at $15 ($12 for members). VIP tickets are sold out for Friday and Saturday.

p.s. This is also the GRAND OPENING of the brand new Wichita Foundation Amphitheater. Big things are happening in Wichita!

52nd Walnut Valley Festival - Winfield all weekend

Sadly, I have never been to this music festival, but I know a lot of people who have and they go every year. What does that tell you? Celebrate bluegrass and folk music at the 52nd Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield. Ticket prices vary.​
