The Drone Light Festival.

After last year, I knew we had to go back. After last night, I can’t recommend it enough.

Tonight and tomorrow night, 300 drones will light up the sky near Exploration Place to dance and make shapes and moving pictures that you have to see to believe.

What do Exploration Place, Koch Arena, the new North Junction Ramp, the Epic Center and the Keeper of the Plains all have in common?

For over a century, Dondlinger has continued constructing buildings and structures that improve our city and our lives.

Tucker's Tap Yard serves as an inspiration

A dog and a man walk into a bar..

Wichita is getting a doggy friendly dog bar called Barks & Brews ICT at 1312 E English.

This is inspired by “Tucker’s Tap Yard” in North Carolina and comes with some rules, but this is a play area for dogs that happens to have a bar and patio.

You’ll need a membership, but it’ll only be in the $25-30 range.

Barks & Brews will open in Spring of 2024.

Amtrak

Amtrak is back. Or it might be if local and state leaders get their way.

9 different states met with the Federal Rail Administration, Amtrak and others to bring up the discuss of passenger railways once more.

Wichita has the possibility to connect to OKC which would open us up to the national network.

How do you feel about passenger trains? I’ve never actually been on one like this, so I would love it for our community.

Crochet Artist Ends Project

This is why we can’t have nice things.

People like Tamara Gonzales spent countless hours and 20,000 yards of yarn to bring color and life to our downtown streets by “yard bombing” the statues.

It was awesome to see these during Open Streets ICT, but Tamara decided to take down the pieces because people (you know who you are) have taken it upon themselves to play Grinch and ruin any positive spirit and vibes aka stealing half of the handmade pieces.
