Back street not back, alright
Sorry boy band fans. The Backstreet Boyβs show has been pushed to 2022 (itβs second delay).
This show was scheduled for September 11th, 2021 and has been moved to September 13th, 2022.
Delano Parking Garage
A big gripe around Wichita is the lack of parking in certain areas (a big point of contention leading up to the Riverfront Stadium).
The details are getting ironed out, but the city is ready to start designing the 6-story, 500 spot center across Sycamore Street from the new stadium.

Union Station Kiosk
The Union Station area is a really cool area in town and only getting more cool as more spots get filled up.
The Wichita Cheesecake Company is vacating their spot to move closer to the former Scooterβs, but that spot will be filled by Candy Cones - a snow cone spot currently in Haysville.
Spirit ramps up hiring
2020 was a very rough year for business. Spirit is starting to bring people back to the factory for the expected bump in Boeing 737 MAX production.

License plate readers
The WPD (Wichita Police Dept.) is using license plate readers to help investigate crimes.
Big Cat in Wichita
Monday at 4:02 AM, a mountain lion was spotted on a security camera in Riverside. It is the first verified mountain lion in a Kansas City and 36th spotted in Kansas since 2007.
