12 Days of Wichita Life Giveaways

I mentioned Friday, if you don't follow us on Instagram, you will definitely want to. The cat is officially out of the bag.

Last night at 7pm, we launched our 12 Days of Wichita Life Giveaways.

This is easily, by FAR, the biggest giveaway we have ever done.

Here is what to expect:

12 days of themed giveaways
Each evening at 7pm, we will post a video for that given themed day bundle
Each giveaway will end the following night and winner announced in the caption of the video
1 person will win the ENTIRE bundle for that day (you’re about to have your mind blown!

Last night we kicked off with Day 1 - the Coffee Lover Bundle with over $300 of gift cards and goodies from our favorites like Coffee Daze, Il Primo, Pennant, and Las Adelitas! Day 1 ends tonight at 7pm (and day 2 begins)!

SWTHZ

SWTHZ, or SweatHouz, is a premier luxury wellness studio that is about to open (likely next week) at Bradley Fair.

It is the ultimate recovery location with infrared sauna and cold plunge studios! They also just partnered with a few WSU Shockers for an NIL partnership (men’s basketball players Xavier Bell, Quincy Ballard, and Ronnie DeGray III, as well as women’s basketball player, Jordan Jackson).

Tanya’s Updates

There are a few changes at Tanya’s Soup Kitchen:

They will no longer serve weekend dinner
Starting 1/5/2025, they will start to serve brunch on Sundays

The Heritage

The Heritage Development out in Andover is a big news for the Wichita suburb. A few things of note:

Two housing developments as well as Heritage Square
SkyLofts at The Heritage
Urban Nails is one of the first tenants
Flint Hills Dentist Group (you might recognize the dentist’s last name…Huslig)
Andover Family Optometry is moving over
Livingston’s Cafe is now open as well

Survey Response

There is a $450 million bond proposal on the horizon for Wichita Public Schools.

77.6% of people are in favor.

Water Bills 🚀

You might see a bump in your water usage (maybe not now in the winter, but come spring time) in 2025.

The City Council approved an increase of 6.75% for water which comes out to about $3.21 per month for most residential users. To put it in perspective, we still pay about 17% below peer city water rates.

NBA Creator Cup

Sunday 12/114 at 4:30pm, tune into local Wichitan and world famous youtuber D’Aydrian Harding playing in the NBA Creator Cup.

Speaking of D’Aydrian, him and Mama Harding are doing a Christmas Giveaway this Wednesday 12/11 at Lynette Woodard Rec Center!

The National Institute of Aviation Research (NIAR) just secured one of the biggest contracts in the history of WSU with their new project that will design an aircraft into a command center for the president, secretary of defense, and chairs of the joint chiefs of staff.
